Regional Director, Lodge IT
Job Summary: Great Wolf's Regional Director of Lodge IT is responsible for providing technical support with system management and maintenance at their local lodge as well as managing IT Manager (ITM) resources within their defined region, while ensuring that support at the assigned home lodge property remains an equal focus. Assisting where necessary, delegating, training and reporting on support activities for the region, the Director Lodge IT will assist in maintaining normal business operations for Great Wolf Resorts across a specified region.
This position will report directly to the Vice President, IT & Information Security, this role also has dotted line reporting responsibility to the General Manager of the locally assigned lodge property.
Responsibilities:
Lodge Support:
- Work closely with on property staff on systems related issues pertaining to the PMS, POS
- Proactively monitor and administer the network, workstation operating systems, security system, safety, backups and servers related to the systems within his/her focus for the resort
- Assemble, disassemble, repair, install, and de-install computers and related equipment approved for use by the corporate office
- Supervise and train employees' use of the systems to assure compliance with pre-defined and set company policies
- Participate in job related training, classes, conventions, seminars and personal knowledge enrichment opportunities as directed
- Maintain accurate inventories of equipment while maintain an organized, safe and clean work area
- Prioritize projects and support work-load at the resort and within the specified region
- Conduct regular training sessions to keep the knowledge base at the properties current
Management:
- Track ITM development within the specified region to ensure that organizational needs and individual development objectives are aligned
- Manage escalations and workload reporting for the specified region ensuring that regional ITMs are reporting as required and escalating business issues properly
- Delegate and track project assignment in support of the corporate IT team for projects and system administration to benefit the enterprise
- Act as the facilitator for supplemental lodge support where needed, identifying opportunities, providing through delegation or assumption any additional support required at regional lodges to accommodate periods of high activity or project work
- Assist the Director of Information Technology & Operations in hiring, training and coaching IT members to achieve and exceed objectives consistent with the GWR culture in the specified region
- Play an integral role in the launch and support of new properties within the specified region
Qualifications:
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from a four-year college with a bachelor's degree
- Six years of experience in hybrid networking, server, virtual and physical environments.
- Strong support knowledge of O365, Microsoft Office, network technologies and concepts (TCP/IP, SMTP and Ethernet, Wide Area Networks), desktop/mobile OS and hardware as well as audio/visual support experience a must
- Demonstrable experience leading high-impact teams either directly or indirectly is a must
- Hands-on leader who will roll up his/her sleeves and act as a player/coach when required
- Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships in a cooperative manner, influencing individuals at all levels of the organization
- Superior communication and collaboration skills; ability to communicate technical knowledge to non-technical colleagues across the entire organization
- This role requires a passionate approach to user experience, guest experience and service
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 20 lbs., sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
